HAIR
THE RAVAGES OF TIME, 50 YEARS TO BE EXACT
I had a lot of trouble coming up with something for this post. My assumption was that I would probably have to pass this time. I actually took my camera to the hairdresser's, when I had a hair cut during the week, thinking I would take a photo of a wig in for service or the huge array of products for the beautification of hair. Still not inspired. Then this idea came into my mind.
So here you are folks, my hair when I was twenty one: short but lovely, full, shiny, curly, coppery brown. Even if I do say so myself.

Fifty years later: still short but wispy, fine, almost straight, washed out grey.

I can't believe I'm actually putting up a current photo of the little old lady, but I'm still anonymous, right?

These are lovely photos, and a terrific choice for this week's theme! Have a great weekend .. :)
Cute haircut for a twenty year old. Still have that same nice smile.
I also noticed you have the same beautiful smile :-)
They are both lovely photos. I too was going to mention the smile (I just did). Happy weekend.
Nice smile and pleasant expression! My hair is much the same -- thinner, lighter, wispy.
Oh you are beautiful! Love the two photos for comparison! My photo is up, please come and visit
you were so beautiful then, and still are :) Thank you for sharing a great post!
Such a beautiful lady!
Wow. How did you keep that photo so well? After so many years?
I like your hair. Then & Now!
And I agree...You have a beautiful smile.
Like all the others said, your smile is what captures attention in both the photos.
It happens to every body :) Have a lovely weekend. My hair is no way as good as it was too
We all hate photos of ourself, jmb...I know I do...I hate them with a vengeance! Both of your photos are great...so no cringing...okay! :)
You still have lovely hair & a beautiful smile... but of course thats been said, since it's so noticeable.
Hey, nice meeting you in person jmb! Lovely photos! You look young for your age.
And yes, you're still anonymous after this entry. :)
Have a great weekend! :)
Both photos look like the same person--it's in the smile and eyes. We don't know each other, but we have a Westie, too, and your profile stamp jumped out at me at someone's blog.
Both of the photos are lovely!
and your only as old as you feel..You look YOUNG
Two lovely photos; the second 50 years later!!! you look wonderful...and such a friendly smile.
Your smile never change. You are still as sweet and beautiful as before. Nice post here. Have a great weeend :)
What a great pictures! I have gray hair too and keep thinking I should color it--but it is too much work so instead I am trying to adopt a love for the new color!
~smiles~
The only sign of the passage of time I see is... the glasses :)
Don't worry I am in the same case ! only the grey hairs are missing because I always lighten (dye) my hair a little up because naturally it is such a dull blond
Lovely pictures, nice hair in both of them, you looked very pretty as a young girl and you still do!!
happy hunt!
THose are two wonderful photos.
There is absolutely no way in the world you look 71 years old. You must be doing something right. I think your hair looks very pretty in both photos.
But what a lovely generous face underneath the hair!
Ah, the ravages of time indeed.
Great photos! I did the math... and you do not look your age. You still look great!!
Drop by my lair
to see my hair,
With time to spare,

It's wonderful to see your photos. You are lovely then and now. You have a pretty smile that gives you a nice glow. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful then, beauutiful now!
Lovely smile.
Yes, this was difficult and you are a brave and beautiful lady. I could never put myself out there as you did!!
Very pretty! Looks like you found a winner in these pictures - I love that silver hair.
Life's unfair. Bet they were falling at your feet.
Great then and now photos. Happy Saturday!
You are very beautiful, :)
Have a great weekend!
Ah Jmb you still look as fetching as the older photo! A great choice for this post.
Yay! still lovely.
have a great weekend.
thanks for stopping by!
I just want to say that as pretty as you were then, your face has a warmth to it now that is welcoming and loving. You have aged beautifully!
I only hope to age as beautifully as you!
Both photos are great! You did have lovely hair when you were younger but you still look great today, even if you aren't as happy with your hair.
What ravages? I think that time has treated you well! :)
Great photo's, what ravages of time? Who cares really, I posted a current photo of me and I'm 300 or so days away from 60. It's how young you feel that counts and the smile tells me you feel young...ciao
those are lovely photos....your are as beautiful today as you were back in your 20s....thank you for sharing....
I love the "then and now" idea! Great shots!
Those are lovely photos of you!! And yes, you're anonymous...sort of
You look lovely in both photos, jmb. Great post.
You are lovely! I thought about taking a photo of hair on the floor after my haircut this week but forgot my camera. Thanks for dropping by my place.
Mama Bear
Oh wow, you almost look the same. How cool you posted the before and after photos. Kudos to you.
Who cares about hair when the smile is so warm and beautiful!
Wanna borrow the wig? I will take the teeth off! Have a great weekend!
You are as lovely today as you were 50 years ago. Probably just much wiser!
I'd like to thank everyone who came to visit my "hair" this Saturday. It was fun to see so many other people's take on the theme. I especially liked the photos of the horses and the hairbrush.
No ideas as yet for shiny.
regards to you all
jmb
Lovely pictures, jmb. You know, that's just how I imagined you. Great, now I can picture whom I am writing to.
Great photos. You are amazing at 50! My hair is still dark in the back however, it is getting more and more gray with each passing day. : )
Thanks for your visit and nice comments. Have a great day
Wow, you know how to stir up comments. You look beautiful then and now.
Very good idea for this week! What a sweet smile and pretty lady!
Mine was once black but now 'salt & pepper'..more salt actually.
Happy Sunday :)
Lovely pictures - mine is now white, but cunningly disguised as blonde! WWhite roots growing into blonde hair don't show up quite as much as dark roots!! well that's my theory, Mary, England
I think your hair is still very pretty!
You look almost exactly the same! Very lovely!
