ROW
You can't go to Granville Island without seeing boats in a row, at their mooreage. Do you wonder, as I do, why some are bow in and others are bow out?
Four town houses in a row, overlooking a lagoon, with beautiful water lilies in bloom
You don't often see a yacht with all its flags out in a row, fully displayed as for a sail past.

HAPPY WEEKEND TO ALL
ROW
tnChick said that the theme for this week meant things in a row. No problem, anyone can put things in a row and photograph them. I thought about that for about five seconds. But wait, let's look around and see what there is out there in the big wide world, already in a row. Here you see what I found on my walk with my group to Granville Island yesterday on a cloudy day.
Of course today I checked and tnChick has added lots of other definitions, but too late. Things in a row it is from JMB. Please click on the images to get a better view.

A great selection of photos. I too saw to late that other definitions had been added.
I would love to live in one of the houses overlooking the water. :) Granville Island sounds beautiful.
Happy weekend!
wow, very beautiful!! I love the boats.
Snap! Firstly, because I also decided to put up 3 photos for this week's Photo Hunt. Secondly, my pictures also feature rowhouses and high-rises...but seeing as they're from different parts of the world, they look quite a bit different from yours. :b
A really nice set of images. Happy weekend!
Great choice of photos. How I wished I can own a boat. Happy Weekend! http://crizlai.blogspot.com/2007/08/photo-hunters-row.html
Nice shots of items all in a row. :) I really like the photo of the houses with the reflections in the water.
A nice row of rows.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos. Sailing is always a nice adventure.
Great photos as usual JMB.
About the boats: Druggies park their boats bow out to facilitate a fast getaway. I'm glad I could share this important tip with you :)
Beautiful photos all, jmb! Love them! :)
You did a great job on finding photos to match the theme!! Love the one with the sailboats.
Take care,
Connie
Mine is up.
those are wonderful choices for today theme....love the pictures of the yacht club...
Good morning! You have great photos of rows. The sailboats remind me so much of the New England coast, and there are so many times I miss that. Love hearing those flags flapping, too!
Love the townhouse photo Jmb...the reflections are beautiful....kind of a double 'all in a row' :)
Great pictures, perfect choices for the theme!
Ah -- symetry. As a very mild OC I like to set things in rows, and your photos capture the human impulse to do so. Have a good weekend.
Cheers,
Ian
Those houses are beautiful! I cant imagine being able to walk to such a beautiful place as this Island is! wow, thank you for sharing your view on your walk! I'm so green with envy! Thanks too for your visit to my twin and triplet rows! I really appreciate it!
Absolutely brilliant, jmb.
Have a look at my blog. You have an award.
those are great photos of things in a row! i like your choices for this week's theme!
Bow in, bow out,...... my guess is for quicker escape,... lol. Just kidding. Love the apartments on the water, those are great. All your photos are good. Have a happy weekend.
Great use of the theme!
Great rows!!! The water is pretty.
Snap with the boats! (Sort of) The second photo is especially good with the reflection.
Thank you, jmb, for all your lovely words of comfort. They are appreciated.
Always wonderful photos, jmb, and always a unique take on the theme.
JMB, what a great interpretation of "rows". I have often wondered, as well, why some boats are bow in, and some out. Maybe it's something to do with the owner's seamanship.
Beautiful photos, as always.
cheers,
Josie
I like your examples of rows, very well done.
Thanks to everyone who visited and commenting on my photo hunt for things in a row.
regards to you all
jmb
I always love all of your photos, especially the ones of Stanley Park and Granville Island.
Possibly the boats that are bow in are handles by people who have trouble reversing into parking places!
as always too much fun. I particularly like the boats. We sailed for years but then decided we were old enough to decide "real sailing" included boats with a motor as well! I'm not sure about the bow in, bow out as we always docked bow in, but it may have something to do with preference of debarking or ability to pull out.
Just beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Such BEAUTIFUL rows!!! I love them all!
