Saturday Photo Hunt --- Light

LIGHT

I really wasn't going to post this Saturday but I wanted to do this last one before Christmas. I tried photographing some very special Christmas light displays near me but I couldn't get a satisfactory one and it's cold out there. I'm sure you are all going to have some wonderful photographs for this theme but you won't find them here.

But in the Christmas spirit, the lights in my dining room window.

My dining room chandelier, a rather modern brass and chrome affair with a most important feature --- a down light which you can turn on or off.

The not especially attractive and extremely dusty chandelier in my two-storey front hall.
You have to climb on a very tall ladder and balance precariously to clean it.
Reminds me of Miss Haversham's house

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS HAVE A HAPPY
AND HOLY ONE

AND

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Well, I'll catch up on sleep.

Otherwise, not much to be said for the season. I'll be on my own Xmas day.

JMB, your dining room chandelier is exactly like mine. I didn't care for it at first, but then it grew on me, and now I love it.

I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Cheers,
Josie

Very impressive chandalier JMB. We had some hanging lights in our rather poky rental house that we were in for the last few years. I kept banging my kids heads on them when I picked them up. We changed them. It is great to have areas in a house for such a nice piece. Merry Holidays JMB.

Oh! Don't worry! You have great "lights". I especially favor the "angle" in the first pic.

Now, it's all about Christmas cause it's Christmas time.

Merry Christmas, my dear! :)

I've so enjoyed reading your posts JMB, especially about your travels. I've been out of touch for a few weeks due to family illness. But I look forward to more JMB!

Beautiful and quite appropriate for the moment.

I honestly like the old-fashioned chandelier better. It's gorgeous! I am going to get a new chandelier for my dining room and also one for my double height entry hall after Christmas. Maybe they'll be on sale then. I understand you can hire someone to come in and clean light fixtures that are high up like yours.

OOPS, I forgot to say Merry Christmas, jmb!

Well, I think you have lovely lights there, jmb. Especially the first pic. It's so nice, here in Italy, to read of another woman who admits to having a bit of dust about! BUON NATALE from Sicily xxx

They are beautiful photos, very much the xmas spirit; and merry christmas to you JMB and all the family.

Been yabbying and cooking here, plenty of helpers to drag the nets in, cook and peel yabbies, they are done and ready for entree(s) tomorrow.

Been the most glorious sunny (but not too hot) days, and expected to be another gorgeous day for xmas.

Talk about blessed!

Am trying to coax the sun into hastening to Canada, heard it's pretty cold...I had this great photo to email you of the Pharmacy wall in Natimuk; it is a beautiful painting covering all the brick, a very traditional and historical one, and I can't find it!

I will get back to the town and get another shot, it just looks so good.

Take care and keep warm all.

Pam
