Saturday Photo Hunt --- Party

PARTY

There's a federal bye election taking place in my riding of Vancouver Quadra at the moment. Each major political party is fielding a candidate and all three of them are women. So I guess no matter which party I vote for I will be electing a woman representative.

Conservative Party: Deborah is a professor in the Faculty of Commerce at the university
Enough said!

Liberal Party: Joyce, former senior provincial cabinet minister but voted out by her electorate.
This sign is leaning badly, I hope it doesn't fall over

New Democratic Party: Rebecca is studying Ethics and Political Science at the university.
She seems to be courting the Chinese vote by her sign

A more conventional party photo of the queen of party goers, my granddaughter who attends at least two parties every month. This was at the Princess Party which I also attended last August. Can't smile Nana, I'm busy eating.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Nice idea jmb. I wish I could find my photos from election night 1997. What a cute pic of your grand daughter. She is definitely getting down to the business of food! Happy weekend

What a brilliant take on it, jmb! Interesting to know the candidates are all women - there is hope, yet, in this world of ours! Your grandaughter is obviously having a great time!

I like your series of signs for the upcoming election and I had to laugh at the sign that was leaning over. I love the photograph of your granddaughter at the princess party. Her expression is priceless. I hope you have a great weekend.

Well I love that grandaughter picture of her at her party. As for politics, I am getting so burnt out with it already here in the states. We go to the polls(Ohio) this coming Tuesday, but that was a neat idea for the photo hunt.

Gee, I didn't even think of "party" in that way! Great idea and original. Of course the princess looks so cute at her own party, too!

By the way, I've tagged you in a meme I think you might enjoy - it's different.

WOW! Cool pictures. I wanted to post something similar to yours, but the campaigns for election in my country are not like that. Heehee..

You're the first one I have visited who has chosen a political theme!
I would have thought to see more of them with elections going on and all that ?

Interesting shots! Your princess looks like she means business, too! Perfect.

There are not many woman politicians in Singapore. With a family, a job and community services... entering politics is tough for a woman.

Love your cute Princess and her party. hehe....

As an American I am already quite sick of all political parties.:) Your granddaughter is so precious.

Hi jmb! It's nice to know that more and more women are helping govern nations across the globe.

Your granddaughter is lovely. What a coincidence, my son also attends at least 2 birthdays a month.

The Birmingham, Edgbaston consituency has been continuously reprsented by women since 1953.

And whatever happens in the next election, it will be won by a woman.

You are so lucky to live in a country that is enlightened enough to not make ad hominem attacks and outright name-calling of women candidates, which is going on here. You are living through what I have dreamed of my whole life and may not see here in the US in my lifetime.

I almost posted a "political party" party photo, too. Loved the photo of your granddaughter. Have a blessed weekend.

I never thought about political party as a photo for the theme. Good for you!
No, my hat hasn't arrived yet. They said 3 month wait and it won't be that until the 10th. I kept hoping it would come sooner. Oh Well, it will be a surprise when it does.

Sad state of affairs when all three are women. I love women but isn't that a bit OTT? :)

Love the gd.

All politicians are charlatans and knaves. I'd rather be at your granddaughter's birthday party, but only if I could have cake and ice cream.
