This week's theme for Photo Hunt is a photo of yourself (or a part of yourself if you are shy). Usually I don't post recent photos of myself on this blog, for obvious reasons. While not recent, this one I like and I call it my funeral photo. It's a very candid snapshot taken at an engagement dinner for a friend and for some reason it is me. I was in my late forties, still with copper-brown coloured hair, probably retouched a bit, still with a face covered in freckles which were the bane of my existence when I was a teenager.
Anyway I have told everyone I want this photo displayed at my funeral, plus I want Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes. I'll maybe get around to planning the rest someday. Much later I hope.

Aw, you're GORGEOUS! And still are, from what I've seen from the Wetcoast Women dinner. I love the colour of your hair. I might just think about what photo I want at my funeral, too. Thanks for the tip. My kids might pick something I wouldn't like. lol

I love freckles! It's one mroe thing I am so jealous of when it comes to my hubby .... only one of my girls got them, though!
That is a beautiful photo, for sure. However, when you pass away at 90+ years, wouldn't you want a picture of what you look like then so people know who's funeral they're at? haha.

Lovely - and what a wonderful smile, JMB! I'm quite partial to freckles, actually. My momma had features very similar to yours. She passed the freckles down to me, but sadly I didn't get the beautiful red hair.
