Saturday Photo Hunt --- Hope

HOPE

This one totally had me stumped but a discussion with Miss Moggs, sometime correspondent to this blog helped me out. Presents are little boxes of HOPE and what's more 8 days after Christmas ours still sit unopened under the tree, due to the snowy weather conditions and we are still waiting for family and friends to get together.

We thought it might be New Year's Day but conditions are still treacherous on the road to our house. However we live in HOPE that this snow will soon be gone and we will be back to our normal drizzly winter soon. Two weeks now, no sign of a snowplough. We did get out a couple of times during this period when there was less snow but it keeps coming. Oh for a four wheeled drive.

The one set of tracks up the centre of our road. Ugly! Well pretty but an ugly situation.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE AND

A HAPPY NEW YEAR

What incredible restraint! Oh are they not your presents?

All the snow must be getting a bit wearisome now. I imagine being snowed in is fun for one or two days ...

The weather sure looked bad there. I hope you would have some sunny days soon. Happy New Year JMB :)

Wow! That is lots of snow! I, too, have unopened presents that I must somehow get to the recipients. Maybe by Easter...

Still no Christmas celebration? Your weather looks horrible. I hope this soon clears so you can see your family. Why is there no snow removal there?

Your tree looks beautiful.

We finally got everybody together on New Years and opened the gifts. But then a new storm started and one son left early.

I haven't seen snow that deep since I lived in Alberta some 25 years ago. It's a shame the road hasn't been plowed, and wet snow is tough to shovel. Hopefully it will stop snowing and get a little milder before long to melt the stuff.

My daughter and son-in-law went to college in Kirkland. They had snow once while they were there. I'm sure it's really a hardship for you. We're more prepared here in Michigan for that much snow. Hope you're free and clear soon.

Well a little snow at the right time sets the scene for Christmas.

What you have is waaay too much of a good thing.

The first shoots thrugh the snow are little bits of hope too I think. A promise of spring and summer.

I'm with you, we have had enough snow already! Fortunately my husband has a big 4-wheel drive, that I am ashamed of most of the year, but have been smugly driving the last few weeks through any weather, up and down the hills of New Westminster. Happy New Year.
