Vancouver is a city surrounded by water and there are eleven major traffic bridges in the nearby area. With my walking group today I passed three of them, all spanning False Creek.
The Burrard Street Bridge
The Granville Street Bridge
The Burrard Street Bridge seen through the Granville Street Bridge, quite close together in fact
So... is the False Creek really a false creek? If so, how so? Also, I've only been to Vancouver just once -- back in 1990. But is my memory serving me right when I say that there's a microbrewery somewhere near the Granville Street (or island?) area?
Those bridges look remarkable close together. Beautiful photos of your lovely world! And you walked by 3 of hem today? wow! My hunt is up, please come and visit soon
Great pics! Now that I've seen your photos, I remember that I've got photos of the Gransville Street Bridge I took when we went to Vancouver ;-) Here's mine http://www.mirasblog.com/2009/02/photo-hunt-6-bridge.html
Wow! Eleven traffic bridges? That's a lot. I love the scenery of the whole place. It made me feel that I should take a vacation there soon... if someone would take care of the cats. :P haha.
My husband picked me up by boat once in Vancouver. We spent the night anchored in False Creek. It was lots of fun using the dingy to get to great markets and restaurants. I invite you to come see my Canadian hiking bridges. - Margy
London Bridges is a children's game. Two people hold hands in the air making a arch while a line of kids goes under and everyone sings the song "London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London Bridge is falling down, my fair lady." When you get to "my fair lady" the arms come down and trap whoever was going under.
I've seen many of these bridges while visiting Vancouver myself. Lovely post! I shared 'bridges' at both Sacred Ruminations and Happily Retired Gal this weekend. Hugs and blessings,

I love the reflections in the water on the top photograph!
I love bridges. You have some beautiful ones in Vancouver.
Thanks for showing us other bridge. I remember Lion's Gate and I almost posted that, but I opted to show a local bridge.
Great shots jmb. I love the reflections in the first two pics. Happy weekend!
Your bridges are much grander than mine!
I love your third photo, with the two bridges - wonderful shapes.

I'm really loving the hunt today. Your picture collection are wonderful, love the second one. Thanks for sharing, Happy Weekend!
Great bridge pictures. I liked all of them but why did they name a river "False Creek"/
Nice shots - I especially like the little blue building under one of the bridges. My shots are here.

Cool! These are very majestic bridges! At least to me who come from a small island and am not used to seeing such huge bridges.
Happy weekend!
Nice array of different bridges for this week's theme JMB! :)
Those are great shots. I like the reflection in the first one, too.
Looked like a beautiful day to walk. All great photos. I really like the second one best, how the buildings reflect in the water.
To pass three bridges in a single walk in Perth, the walk would need to be three days long :) Thoise are great shots.
You have the distinction of making a guest appearance as a Bridge yourself today.
Good collection.
Snow all gone JMB. Lovely shots.

Those are some hard-core bridges, very functional.
These are beautiful bridges.
Love the reflections in the water.
I have posted the "daytime" version of the painting on the side of the building, come on by and check it out. Absolutely beautiful.
A great collection of bridges!
Great collection of bridges. I've been on 2 of them, I think. The Granville Bridge & the Cambie Bridge.
