ENTERTAINMENT
Josh is one of the regular entertainers/buskers who sing at Granville Island. We often see him on our walks and he was there yesterday when we passed. He favours French songs, especially those of Edith Piaf and I have on occasion bought a CD from him. The entertainers have regularly scheduled times and he was just finishing up, while another was ready to take his place.

I like listening to buskers. Every city should have them. Great take on the theme.
I bet they are popular, yes.
You've written about Josh before I think?
Nice choice jmb. Every so often there are amazing buskers. There was one Bosnian woman who used to sing on tube trains. She had a stunning voice. Happy weekend
over here in my town all the buskers r blind people. also a form of earning a living
Not so many buskers in the suburbs. Only in town. Have a nice weekend.
I also like listening to buskers.Great shots and take on the theme.
Happy weekend!
These are great musicians, IMHO. have you watched August Rush, there is something there about buskers.

Wow, these buskers seem very professional and confident -- I guess one would have to be in order to risk street audiences who can be pretty critical!
I like buskers as well. I have one in my post.
Happy weekend! :)
I enjoy listening to the buskers. They are a welcome change from the professionals.
Happy weekend, jmb!
A nice one for the theme. There are some really good buskers about :-)
I'll always throw a coin in the musicians hat... but not those freaky statues.
that's entertainment!
I think I remember a post about Josh, too. I'd love to hear the Piaf songs.
That's so great. If you don't like the first chap just wait for the next!
J and I have put Vancouver on our list of possible cities to run away to after his children have been firmly established at university - just thought to let you know. We need to plan tea times now. I know how popular you are!
You got some great shots. I love to listen to musicians playing on the streets. I have several albums of Edith Piaf although they are so old not sure if they will still play. She was a favorite of my fathers and when I listen to her recordings it makes me think of him. I'm sure I'd love hearing the busker singing her music.
