WORDS
WORDS
Most of us do our search for the meaning of words online now, however it's not so many years ago that there was but one source for that information. Oh did I tell you that I love words? The sounds of them, the subtleties of their use to convey nuances of meaning. This was the old fashioned way or now for when our broadband is acting up. How do you spell???????? What does ?????? mean? I'm ready!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

I am a big fan of real dictionaries myself!! Great take on the theme, happy weekend :)
My PH
I have lots of dictionaries as well in here :D
thanks drop at my ph post
I'm one of those who rely more on the web than the actual dictionaries for word searches, but I still keep one around me everytime. I used to love them a lot too.
I can´t live without my dictionaries.
Perfect take on the theme.
Happy weekend.
Great idea for the theme. I have a lot of dictionaries too. Happy weekend.
Ah an excellent choice jmb. That said if I come across a new word I often consult the not-wife before I reach for the dictionary!
We too have quite a few dictionaries, and I still do use them :) Happy weekend, and thank you for the visit :)
Nice one JMB, I'm wordless :D

Nice take on the theme! My husband and I always "play" a dictionary game, where we pick random words and quiz each others to learn new words. Words are very interesting indeed!
Can you see me smile?
Dictionary, what is that?
I love dictionaries -- but really good hard-copy versions are so very heavy (and thus not great to have when you're a rolling stone like moi!)! ;(
great choice.....so dated those books are. LOL
have a great weekend.
my dictionaries r gathering dust. i rely on dictionary.com nowadays :)
I love dictionaries - wonderful books.
I still prefer to look a word up in a proper book!
I still love those old fashioned dictionaries my favourite is the Chambers.
When I was on holiday I played scrabble with some of the other guests and the only dictionary on hand had only one page for the letters x,y and z. Just think of how many words were missing out of there!
Great idea for the theme :-)
just got myself a nice French dictionary in my attempt to learn some French :-)
No kidding, these days we really get away from using books.. Those are good ones too because sometimes they just work better :)
I love words too, and the way their means change over the years too. I can't believe you have read them from cover to cover.
Very inspired, jmb.
Like your take on the theme. I too enjoy words in all their forms and in any language. Although I do use online dictionaries a fair amount my work is always backed up by good old paper ones too.
