MUSIC
Music brings to mind so many different images but here are some of the buskers I photographed yesterday at one of my favourite places, Granville Island, making music for the pleasure of the passersby.
Singing his heart out amongst the chaos which is the market norm

Outside on the lovely cool late Autumn day

A busker has a lot of equipment to cart around. This
one plays guitar and a variety of wooden flutes
to accompany his recorded South American music

The truth is that for many now the musical experience is about being
plugged into an iPod or in my case my iPod Touch
with speakers
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Great post JMB. I love the shots of the buskers. Hard to believe but I've never gotten an IPOD. Happy weekend!
Great take. I love the variety of buskers we get on the London Underground. One of my favourites was a Bosnian woman who used to sing folk songs on the trains
Oh, I was going to post photos of some street performers here in Paris but went with something else. Great shots!
Happy Weekend.
Oh, lovely Granville Island. I so enjoyed it when I was there. Unfortunately, we have no buskers anywhere near to where I live and no-one in my family plays a musical instrument so my 'music' photo is..... my ipod!
Great shots of buskers!
I wish we had more music in the streets here.
Have a great weekend.
Interesting to see the variety of buskers out on Granville Island, JMB. The musical range must be pretty and pleasantly broad too. :)
Ahh! lovely music pics :-)
I think we should remember to get away from our digital lives and enjoy live music more often ;-)
Hope you have a great weekend :-)
Well I agree there, some great pics for this theme! :)

It's always better to experience the music live from the performers. :)
Happy weekend, jmb!
i love your photos, especially the first one. the musician is so into his music--and you've captured it so beautifully. excellent post!
My daughter got an ipod for her birthday. Very happy now. We have almost lost it twice within a week. My son is keen on an ipod touch.
Great shots JMB. I have a family busker in my post.
Live music is always more musiccy than recorded music :)
We do have these buskers over here, most of them are visually-impaired musicians :)
Happy weekend!

Love these photos of the buskers!
Oh I remember my visit to Granville island with you!
Looks like one of those cases where a subject suddenly keeps popping up.
Cherry pie... What? I have several live tracks on my iTouch ^_^
I have a clarinet lesson tomorrow. I used to practise all the time until I started blogging. Otherwise, I might be playing in my first orchestra now.
This is a great post for jams o donnell, I see. I enjoy buskers too and we have many talented ones in Cambridge.
