CUDDLY
This one seemed happy enough at the San Diego Zoo
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE
CUDDLY
Koalas look so cuddly don't they? Of course they are not really bears but marsupials and these consumers of eucalyptus leaves actually spend about 18 hours a day sleeping. They are not really cuddly and can become quite stressed by handling and at times even nasty. They have very sharp claws for climbing trees and will scratch and bite when angry. So maybe you should not try to cuddle one but they are pretty cute for all that.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Whenever I see a pic of a Koala I have this urge ti snuggle.
Looks v v cute and I like his white bib on which he has spilt his chocolate.
They are certainly cute from afar but I would not mess with such a well armed creature! Happy weekend
Very cute and cuddly :-)
Happy Weekend to you too :-)
Such a cute koala. They surely look cuddly and even if they aren't, perfect for the theme. Hope you have a great weekend JMB and that you are feeling completely well now.
We had one in our tree across the road this week. Cute and cuddly to look at.
Oh, cute! but I'd cuddle a stuffed one instead...:D They are good photo subjects though.

i love your shot! the koala looks indifferent.:p
I've heard that koalas can be quite aggressive but they do look soooo very cute and cuddly!
I loved those cuddly koalas! Cute when they cling onto you but not always friendly.. :P

Oh what a koala animal...happy hunting.
Mine is up
Great shot. Although I had to check that it was indeed a koala and not one of its close cousins, a Drop Bear!
they do look very cuddly though! I remember, as a child, being given a toy koala. I'd forgotten about that.
I always thought they were bears! and that they were sweet and cuddly...thanks for the info, jmb, have a lovely weekend :)
Yes, I agree, the koala is irrisistebly cuddly.
I love the San Diego Zoo, it's the only one that doesn't make me sad. Koalas are so fun to look at, but I think I will keep hands off for sure! But they do LOOK cuddly.
And what a noise they make as well! The first time I heard a koala I thought I was in the presence of a wild pig!
It was so sad a few weeks ago,Jmb...some brainless, heartless clown/s shot a mother and her baby. The mother survived with the diligent, loving care given by vets at Australia Zoo, but so sadly the little fellow died. It broke my heart. I will never understand such actions by cowards such as those who committed this atrocity.
I held one at a zoo in Australia a number of years ago - he was very well-behaved. However, a friend of ours did the same when he was there and the koala peed on him!
I wonder if their breath smells like a Halls cough drop from eating all those eucalyptus leaves?
V.
