There is nothing more delicious than fresh fish and now that Spring is coming the local fishermen are preparing their boats for the new season. These photos were taken last week and contrasted greatly with the 2010 Winter Olympics which were taking place in our city at the same time. Click to enlarge.
This fellow was hosing everything in sight and appropriately dressed
The nets and floats were all laid out on the dock, ready to be checked and loaded.

Fresh fish cannot be beaten I adore it.
*Snap* I have a fresh fish-themed photo too in my entry this week -- and it's interesting to see the difference between Vancouver and Hong Kong come through in our photos. :)

Those are great photos and perfect for the theme....yes herring season is now over....didn't see as many boats this year...but there must have been an abundance as there are still so many gulls, and eagles and sea birds close to shore gorging on the remains.

Although I can't stand the fishy smells of the harbour, I love the taste of fresh fish. :P
Fresh fish...fresh seafood of all description...is the only way to go! We get so much imported seafood from Asia here these days, but I won't buy it. I was brought up on fresh, local seafood...and I'm spoiled and I give no excuses!
i agree with you! nothing but fresh! i love fish. my diet nowadys consist of that and veggies.

I think a round juicy apple picked direct from the tree with dew still on it can top that. mmmmmmmmm
