HANGING
HANGING
Racoons do quite a bit of damage in this part of the world, especially to lawns as they eat a certain type of grub which lives in the soil. In doing so they leave divots on the lawn which look as if the final round of the British Open has been played in your garden overnight.
But you have to admit that they are rather cute, especially the young ones or kits and this week I had a visit from a mother with her five kits. This one was hanging precariously in a tree near my sundeck and I managed to capture a photo.

Second time for this theme too and last time I chose a hanging basket. Funny I never thought of that this time!

Pardon me but I don't think raccoons are cute :( Neither are gophers.
Oh you must be doing the hunt for a long time since for me this would be my first "hanging".
Enjoy the weekend, relax.
Aww, look at those eyes!! I think raccoons are cute :P

I love this shot of the raccoon. He looks very lovable but I know they do cause problems at times. Great shot for the theme. Happy weekend.

Haha! I see a rascal trying to act cute up there. LOL! Very nicely taken JMB! :)

What a handsome fellow. I've never seen a raccoon in the flesh myself. Happy weekend
Nice pic for the theme :-)
I posted my best shot for this theme a couple of weeks ago... but I came up with something.
Happy Weekend to you :-)
No racoons here.
we don't have raccoons here. he looks cute. are raccoons rabid?
nice take on the theme.
its eyes have been immortalised in some rockstar's eye makeup. :)
happy weekend! :)
We have them behind out house also. We have enough wild area that they are not destructive with anything in our yard as long as we don't grow corn. They demolished it the one year we tried. Also no fish pond.
But we like to watch them when they come by.

Ah, racoons. There are quite a few - many, actually - hanging around (not only) in the forests some 50 miles south of Seanhenge.
Good shot, jmb.
Whoa --- watch out for raccoons! They're cute but don't get in their way, right? hehehe
Happy weekend, Jim.

I quite detest raccoons and think the only good use for them is as Davy Crockett hats. I once kept chickens and currently keep outdoor fish. Coons merrily ravage both if they get the chance.
They are cute!
