Saturday Photo Hunt --- Open

OPEN

Vancouver Harbour often has ships anchored in open water and waiting for an open berth to load and unload their cargo. This week was no different. Three of the many waiting and no doubt at great cost. Click to enlarge.

Don't you love the way they line up the driftwood logs neatly to provide a place for beach goers to lean against?

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Hey! That's a neat scenery you have there. I won't mind relaxing myself over there... provided there's an umbrella above my head. :P

Do you know what I find most amazing about that picture?... those rolling white clouds against that deep blue sky... amazing :-)

That's a beautiful shot JMB and that is interesting how the driftwood is lined up. I thought about open waters too and almost posted a shot from the beach but while I was looking for my coastal shots I kept noticing open doors. I hope you have a great weekend.

What a lovely place to visit. And yes, we have almost the same idea though mine has nothing but water in sight :)

Happy weekend!

That would be a lot of chopping to make firewood. Beautiful spot when I saw it on a warm fall evening many years ago.

Beautiful! I'm beginning to see why Vancouver appeals to Hong Kongers -- so much so that it's been nicknamed Hongkouver! :D

how beautiful and it's really cool how the logs are being lined up in a neat way.

That's a lovely place. It looks like a perfect day to spend time outdoors. I'm sure those logs are very useful for beach goers.

Same thought for a different shot Have you been out there? I have been in harbors and gulfs but never open water of the ocean it seems like it would be scary and endless but your picture is inviting.

That beach wood is a great idea, especially for someone such as me who has trouble walking and standing.

Some logs are so huge one wonders how they get there - truly at times we underestimate the power of the sea. A lovely shot JMB.
