Recently on a visit to Steveston I took a photo of this gorgeous old fashioned wood fired oven in a bakery which was in full view of the PUBLIC.
Well actually I have been dying to put up this interesting photo so forgive me for stretching this theme a little. Yes I did buy some bread there! The bakery is called Romania Country Bread and it only makes one kind of loaf, a whole-wheat rustic bread, a dense, chewy, flavourful, European style and it was truly delicious.
Nicolae, the owner and baker, has found a very loyal clientele for his product and he can even build you one of these ovens if you wish! Please click on the photo for a better view.
