Saturday Photo Hunt ---- Natural

NATURAL

One of my favourite places to visit on my annual pilgrimage to New York is the American Museum of Natural History. The beautiful stone building, which sits on the edge of Central Park, sprawls over several city blocks and is a popular tourist destination as well as a favourite with the locals.

First T. rex ever put on public display and reassembled in 1992 into a more realistic pose

A Stegosaurus, with its distinctive plated back and spiked tail,

Do go if you ever visit New York City!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE

Great take on the theme and good shots. My sister who lives in Manhattan is within walking distance of that museum and I always enjoy going there when I'm in NY.

Ah it's been ages since I've visited a natural history museum. South Kensington beckons. Great take on the theme!

what a beautiful take on this weeks theme. I think I was at that museum when I was about 18 years old. FUN place.

This is a great take on the theme. I'd love to visit that museum! Your T-Rex photo is great; I like how you got some people in the shot to show how really big he was. Have a wonderful weekend.

One of my favorite New York attractions too. Have you read "Dinosaurs in the Attic", JMB? Also, if you like crime novels like me, would like to recommend the Linda Fairstein's "Death Dance". :)

My daughter practically grew up in there! At the ripe old age of three she was giving 'tours' to the other patrons of the dinosaur exhibits!
I'm going to see her in NYC in a week!
