Dona Nobis Pacem

This is my fifth year of participation in Mimi's Blogblast for Peace. I have chosen a new quote for the globe from that venerable Roman sage, Marcus Tullius Cicero.

But again, I choose to reproduce for the body of the post, John Lennon's very moving vision of what the world could be like, should be like - his dream for all of us. May the day when the world will be as one come in my lifetime. Peace be with you.

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

John Lennon, 1971

Many a time we take peace for granted until the lack of it plunges our soul, our lives, our heart into turmoil

The sentiments are right. If only the people who really need to would take them in.

Birthday? Happy Birthday. Peace? The warmongers will have war first. If everyone prayed though ... but they won't, will they?
